Watermaker maintenance

There is one watermaker that is quite outstanding: Waterlog

There is no maintenance. This is unheard of.

Just wash out the filters when necessary.

Watermaker maintenance: Until now, the mean time between maintenance duties on watermakers up to four years old was 9 hours running time and a survey suggests the average time taken was 48 minutes. Waterlog has changed all that - no more flushing, leaks, valves, buckets and electrics.

Watermaker maintenance:-  When considering a watermaker, ask if the filters are 3 micron, are made of stainless steel,  if they last forever, can be washed out, and used repeatedly.....

Good design shows...

If you are not going to use your Waterlog for some months or longer, just pour in a small powder keg from the hygiene kit. Just compare this with undertaking the "pickling" procedure on traditional watermakers. An analogy may be today's washer/dryer compared to the wash board and wringer our grandmothers had to use.

Waterlog has banished forever the tiresome chores of maintaining a watermaker. Gone are the days of buckets, valves, pipes, sea cocks and clambering around the bilge or engine compartment to maintain a watermaker.
