The salts, minerals, bacteria and other contaminants are removed under pressure and pure desalinated water remains. This drinking water is pumped aboard the vessel via a (soft exterior) flexible steel tube which also serves as a tow line. The excess concentrated impure water is discharged back to the sea directly from the body. No seawater comes aboard.

No installation is required, a Waterlog is completely self contained. Just clip it to the rail when you want drinking water and tow it awhile......
Only drinking water comes aboard.
