All models start to produce water at about 3.8 / 4.0 knots and maximum output occurs at about 6.5 / 7 knots.

In practice, the average unit is probably run for a couple of hours per day to make water on passage. Usually, by convention, watermaker output refers to daily output, in order to maintain conformity, the figures given below also refer to daily output if run continuously. A simple 12 volt clip-on motor is available for emergency if becalmed. This optional accessory fits any model.

The waterlog 100 was the ground breaking design that enabled every boat to have an endless supply of drinking water aboard. Ideal for single handed passagemaking or for a vessel with a serious shortage of space and no electric power to spare. Up to 24 gallons per day averaging about 5.5 knots on passage. (Note: This model only has basic pre-filtration. Exercise particular care to use only in clean waters reasonably free of suspended matter such as plankton or other glutinous material. Failure to observe this may reduce the life of the membrane element)

The most popular model. It is believed that more Waterlog 200 models are now produced than any other in the world. Appropriate for a vessel that averages about 5.5 knots with a crew of 2 to 4 persons or emergency standby on a larger yacht. Stainless steel pre filtration system can be removed, washed, and replaced without tools in about 6 minutes. Never have to buy replacement filter cartridges. Up to 48 gallons per day.

Appropriate for a vessel with a crew of 4 to 6 persons. Up to 72 gallons per day at average passage speed of 7.0 knots. Like the Waterlog 100 and 200, it is strikingly elegant in spotless mirror polished stainless steel. As the Waterlog 200, stainless steel pre filtration system can be removed, washed, and replaced without tools in about 6 minutes. Never have to buy replacement filter cartridges.

Note:- The 300 model is not recommended for vessels under 30 feet (9 M.) length. Design change pending (smaller dimensions) end 2004

Clip-on manual operation mechanism: $261.00 £141.6 Euro 205.32 (Fits all Waterlog models).

Any waterlog is quickly converted to manual operation without any tools. Just punch in three spring loaded plungers, which releases the drive train which is then discarded overboard. After your rescue, obtain a replacement, on-line, from the factory.

The manual operation mechanism is similarly clipped into position by depressing its own three plungers. The watermaker is ready for instant use. It will provide full body hydration for each person in return for some nine minutes pumping per day.

The watermaker is clipped to any liferaft grab handle using the integral lanyard and carbines. It is left suspended in the water external to, and below, the liferaft - therefore, it takes up none of the precious space in the raft. Further, there is no danger of injury to occupants or puncture of the chambers by having a metal object aboard in rough weather conditions. That is an important consideration.

For use, the Waterlog is raised level with the buoyancy chamber and used by hand, the output water coming aboard via a small flexible tube which may be passed around the occupants of the raft, each drinking directly from the output tube while another person makes the water, should that arrangement be desirable or necessary.
